Based on the results of 7 months of 2022, according to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Russian farmers increased their purchases of mineral fertilizers by 17% - up to 3,84 million tons (in terms of 100% of the active ingredient - ai), compared to the same period last year, reports RAPU press office.
Thus, the volume of mineral fertilizers expected by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia in 2022, taking into account the balances of 2021, has already been purchased by 77%. Recall that during the All-Russian Field Day, held in the Kaliningrad region on July 29, 2022, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Dmitry Patrushev said that this year the volume of purchases of mineral fertilizers by agricultural producers will reach 5 million tons of active weight, and the application rate will reach 60 kg / ha. The Minister also recalled that by 2030 the volume of purchases of mineral fertilizers should be increased to 8 million tons of AI.
Andrey Guryev, President of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers (RAPU), expressed confidence that Russian mineral fertilizer producers would fully meet the stated forecast figure of 5 million tons. “RAPU participants always and one hundred percent fulfill the plan for supplies to the agro-industrial complex. The existing production capacities in the industry are sufficient to ensure both domestic demand and export revenue to the budget, - Andrey Guryev emphasized. - Now preparations are underway for the autumn field work, in connection with which we draw the attention of the regional agro-industrial complex authorities to the importance of controlling the purchases by farmers of the volumes announced earlier and already included by manufacturers in the supply plan for the domestic market. The systematic and rhythmic work of many thousands of teams of fertilizer production enterprises, the reliability and timeliness of supplies, and the rate of accumulation of products in the regions, and, ultimately, the future harvest, depend on this,” Andrey Guryev concluded.
According to the RAPU, during the spring sowing of 2022, domestic farmers did not purchase almost 10% of the volume of mineral fertilizers included in the plan of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
In 2022, according to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, farmers plan to harvest 130 million tons of grain crops, 22,6 million tons of oilseeds, 41,5 million tons of sugar beets, 7 million tons of vegetables and potatoes (in the organized sector), 1,5 million tons of fruits and berries.
