The head of the African economy Eldorado Guus Oliver in South Africa acquired the combine harvester of the Russian company Rostselmash. This was reported in a press release on the plant’s website.
For several days, Rostselmash held demonstrations of equipment in the African republic. On the basis of the Eldorado farm, the capabilities of the Russian Torum 780 were demonstrated.
The report notes that the harvesters "received positive feedback from invited experts," the leaders of the leading agricultural enterprises of the regions also praised the economic efficiency of the trial harvesting.
In January 2017, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, said that the export of Russian agricultural machinery could double in the next two years. At the end of 2016, approximately 12 percent of agricultural machinery collected in Russia was exported. About 2,7 thousand units were delivered abroad last year, which is 20 percent more than in 2015.
