In the "Success Story" section, the Internet portal of the "Potato System" magazine traditionally publishes materials about enterprises whose activities are related to potato growing. But today we want to expand the scope and talk about an international agrarian Internet project created by the combined efforts of companies from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
It will be about Agro Space IT platform.
This is a joint work of the AgroInformAsia companies (Kyrgyzstan), Neksigol Navovar (Tajikistan) and the public organization Neksigol Mushovir (Tajikistan).
AgroInformAsia is an information and consulting company specializing in the development of IT tools for the development of B2B interaction, providing information for effective decision-making, knowledge management and remote consulting.
Nexigol Navovar is a company specializing in the development of IT tools for agriculture and other sectors of the economy.
Nexigol Mushovir is an agricultural advisory organization that annually helps dozens of small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises and thousands of farmers in Tajikistan introduce innovative technologies in the production, processing and marketing of agricultural products, improve the quality of goods and achieve profit growth.
The companies have previously had experience in partnership: since 2015, they have jointly developed various IT tools and promoted them among users from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
In 2019, they created the Agro Space IT platform.
The platform is intended for everyone involved in agricultural business, including government, scientific and consulting organizations; agricultural and rural development enterprises.
The platform presents various IT tools, the use of which allows you to make effective decisions for managing an agricultural business (regardless of a specific sector).
The portal has an interface in English, Kyrgyz, Russian and Tajik.
In the year of its opening, the Agro Space platform signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Russian Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “Competence Center for Digitalization of the Agro-Industrial Complex” (Tambov).
Agro Space IT platform won the second place in the International competition of innovative projects "Eurasian digital platforms 2019", organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission. At the competition, the platform presented the E-Agro Map tool.
E-Agro Map is an electronic farmer's map that allows you to determine the boundaries of fields, assess the possibilities of planting 33 crops, establish links with processing and trading companies. The project helps to optimize the decisions made (helps to reduce risks, production and transportation costs, etc.).
Now the efforts of the platform developers are aimed at improving the tools presented on the site and promoting them at the international level. Many public and private companies are showing interest in cooperation with Agro Space.
The platform provides access to 17 mobile applications that help to establish efficient production of various agricultural products; there is an electronic bulletin board; there is an electronic library, regularly updated with new training and information materials.
Portal visitors can use electronic maps with information on the production of 50+ crops for the period 2012-2019 at the district level; educational and informational videos.
The platform provides up-to-date information on retail market prices for agricultural products in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan; online calculators have been launched that allow you to calculate the amount of seeds, fertilizers and water when growing several types of vegetables.
By October 2020, about a million users from 40+ countries have used the platform's capabilities. Perhaps this resource https://agro-asia.com/ru will be useful for you too?
