SibFU and SHP Dary Malinovki (Krasnoyarsk Territory) will now jointly conduct educational, scientific, technical and innovative activities. The corresponding agreement was signed by the rector of the university Maxim Rumyantsev and the chairman of the board of directors of the enterprise Vasily German on January 27, 2022.
The agreement spells out strategic areas where the scientific potential of the university can be applied: environmental management, genomic and cellular technologies, bioengineering, monitoring and forecasting the state of the environment, etc.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the leadership of the agricultural holding for the trust placed in the university. We mainly work with mining, manufacturing or science-intensive enterprises, but this did not confuse our partners. But in the context that has been identified - and this is research - we can cooperate and be useful to the enterprise. Moreover, one of the strategic directions within the framework of the Priority 2030 program is precisely related to gastronomy. The plans, in addition to building up the human resources potential of the hospitality industry, include ensuring the availability of a wide range of resources by attracting industry leading partners, as well as providing a science-intensive component for these enterprises. These include projects in the field of "smart" agriculture, plant genetics, and crop breeding. I hope that when implementing the paragraphs of the agreement, we will be able to build end-to-end interaction with all project participants, including the agricultural holding,” Maxim Rumyantsev commented on the agreement.
The signatories see mutually beneficial cooperation as the goal: qualified personnel will get jobs, and researchers will be able to conduct new theoretical and practical research.
“We believe that our work cannot do without scientific research. For a modern agricultural economy, advanced farming technologies are not just important, they need to be “down to earth”, taking into account regional climatic and geographical features. In addition, the industry needs professional staff. It is in these areas that we see the need and benefit from cooperation by the university,” Vasily German spoke about the plans for cooperation.
