A unique installation with red, blue and ultraviolet light has been placed in a leek field in the Netherlands, which is both an art installation and a tool to help accelerate crop growth, Colossal reports.
The installation was created by Dutch artist and designer Daan Roosegaarde from Rotterdam and his Studio Roosegaarde. The installation covers an area of 20 thousand square meters and is an unforgettable sight in the dark.
According to farmers, such lighting speeds up plant growth and halves the use of pesticides. The Grow project using phytobiological technologies took Roosegaarde about two years.
