In 2020, the company "August" entered the market of Turkmenistan, increased the volume of exports in Uzbekistan, and in Kazakhstan, the company's sales increased by a record 26% compared to 2019. The subsidiary company "Augusta", LLP "August-Kazakhstan", became the leader in the pesticide market of the republic - according to the analysis of information of the digital platform for business Qoldau. It is predicted that the aggregate sales volume of the company "August" in the CIS countries by the end of the year will reach $ 106 million, including VAT.
This year, the company "August" has mastered a new sales market in the near abroad, in most countries of presence, the revenue of the company's subsidiaries has increased, and in the Republic of Kazakhstan, "August" won the leadership in sales of plant protection chemicals (CCPP) - an increase of 26% expression. The total sales in the republic by the end of the year will exceed $ 39 million, including VAT.
“In my opinion, the team of August and our subsidiary in the region did the impossible this year,” says Marat Khaliullin, head of the sales department for CIS countries at August. - In total, 3,5 million liters of drugs were delivered to the country, that is, more than 200 trucks with the August products necessary for farmers. Moreover, the largest part of the transportation fell on a difficult period of logistical constraints. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of our sales and logistics specialists, we managed to successfully fulfill all obligations to partners, and not only contractual ones. "
The ground for the evolution of the CPSP market in the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan has been created for a long time - over the past 5 years. Initially, the culture of agriculture on the territory of the republic as a whole was assessed as underdeveloped, however, employees and partners of the "August" company made significant efforts to grow it and unleash the potential of yield in crop production. So, today in the fields of Kazakhstan, the means that prevent plant diseases - seed disinfectants and fungicides - are increasingly used, and the market for plant protection products has grown significantly in general. Sales of many "Augusta" drugs, which have long proven their effectiveness, in 2020 increased by 30-40% compared to last year, and for some new drugs, the growth reached 77%. During the year, 10 new names of pesticides of the "August" company were registered on the market of Kazakhstan, and next year it is planned to launch them on sale.
In 2020, a new "point on the map" appeared, where pesticides of the "August" company - Turkmenistan began to be used: the first deliveries of the "Break" insecticide were made to protect against pests of grain crops. An equally important achievement is the resumption of activity in the Uzbek market, where the company's products have not been supplied for at least 8 years. The Augusta preparations are used here for the treatment of cotton and cereals: the increase in sales was 15% per year.
“Due to the change in the financial and economic climate in the Republic of Uzbekistan, we returned to the local market for plant protection products. As a result of two years of work, our market share in defoliation is already quite large and amounts to about 15%, explains Marat Khaliullin. - We were able to successfully develop again in the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan, from which we were previously forced to leave for a while, we were allowed to form agricultural clusters uniting cotton producers and grain producers. Clusters operate on the principle of cooperatives and management companies, providing a large number of small farmers with financial and commodity resources to grow crops. And besides this, and the possibility of its sale, and at prices higher than if a farmer with land of 1-2 hectares sold his product on his own. Thanks to new approaches to the work of clusters and successful cooperation with our partners, we are increasing our presence on the market of the republic. "
Marat Khaliullin emphasized that digital services and applications that the company introduced in advance and which showed their importance during a pandemic helped to provide technical support for the use of Augusta preparations and provide information support to farmers in the neighboring countries. A vivid example is the video project "Field Online", where videos of the partners of "August" are posted, demonstrating in full the technologies of growing various crops, from tillage to harvesting.
