“This year, the plan for the area of potato planting is 13,26 thousand hectares. In 2017 - 12,7 thousand hectares. That is, there is an increase in planting areas, "- quoted by the press service of the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region, Andrei Razin.
He noted that the potato crop in the suburbs in 2017 exceeded the target by 13% and amounted to 360 thousand tons.
In 2017, the self-sufficiency of the population of the Moscow region with potatoes amounted to 96% of the medical consumption rate, it is planned to bring it to 97% this year, he added.
