On December 1, the Bryansk region was paid an official visit by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation Vladimir Semashko. He visited the Bryanskselmash enterprise and took part in an official meeting with Governor Alexander Bogomaz.
At a meeting of the joint working group on cooperation between the Bryansk region and the Republic of Belarus, the meeting participants discussed the prospects for further cooperation. In addition to Vladimir Semashko and Alexander Bogomaz, heads of regional structural divisions and representatives of the Belarusian diplomatic mission took part in the meeting. It was about the possibility of increasing trade turnover.
Vladimir Semashko, analyzing the achievements of the Bryansk region in recent years, noted that the region now produces more potatoes than in Belarus. Moreover, this trend has persisted for more than a year.
In 2020, 860,9 thousand tons of potatoes were obtained in the Bryansk region - 35,3 thousand tons more than last year. This harvest exceeds the gross harvest of potatoes throughout Belarus by 21,8%. 707 thousand tons of potatoes were dug up there.
During the meeting, the Belarusian guests expressed special gratitude to the leadership of the Bryansk Chamber of Commerce and their colleagues from Gomel. Well-established constructive work contributes to the development of economic relations between the regions and our states.
