The village of Melensk, Starodubsky District, produces 7% of all potatoes in Russia.
This was at a meeting with television journalist, State Duma deputy Yevgeny Revenko, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz.
And this, noted Bogomaz, thanks to the use of modern technology. It is in Melensk that one of the four BayREren experimental training sites existing in Russia is located.
The governor also told Revenko that for two and a half years now he has personally held training seminars at which he shares the latest world developments in the field of agriculture. One of the last seminars was held at the peasant farm of Nikolai Tamilin in the same Starodubsky district.
“In order to be successful on earth, technology is needed first. Technology is primary, and modern technology is just a working environment“, Said Bogomaz.
Revenko asked if there were any more examples of successful farming or if Tamilin is unique. Bogomaz said that the example of Nikolai Tamilin is not unique for the Bryansk region, there are other equally successful agricultural producers, such as the head of the Platon farm from the Sevsky region, Alexander Lobyntsev, the chairman of the SEC Zimnitsky Alexey Gusarov from the Dubrovsky district and several others.
