Specialists of the Roselkhoznadzor Office found potatoes infected with potato nematode in the Murmansk region.
An unpleasant find was made during control examinations on one of the land plots in the village of Verkhnetulomsky. Two hundred square meters of land were surveyed. As a result, specialists discovered two hundred and fifty cysts of the pest.
Therefore, in the village of Verkhnetulomskiy, a quarantine phytosanitary zone is currently established. Experts say that everything is to blame for the abnormally hot summer. Therefore, the worm began to multiply more actively.
Recall that the worm was first registered in the Murmansk region in 2003 in the Kandalaksha region. After this, the pest was found in suburban areas in Apatity, Kola and Terek districts.
