Preliminary, the cost of travel on a charter train is estimated at 12 thousand rubles. per person.
As explained to Kommersant in JSC Russian Railways, the organization of passenger transportation by rail in international traffic is carried out by the decision of the operational headquarters to prevent the import and spread of COVID-19.
The monopoly is ready to ensure the transportation of foreign citizens to carry out labor activities in the Russian Federation, if such a decision is made, but for this a customer of transportation must be determined with whom an agreement will be concluded.
So far, Russian Railways has not received applications for the transportation of foreign citizens by rail. The head of the Association of Nursery Breeders and Gardeners of the Stavropol Territory Aydin Shirinov notes that charter trains can also be too expensive for agricultural producers and to solve the problem of shortage of workers, it is necessary to resume import by road.
