The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has prepared an updated version of the passport of the federal project "Export of agricultural products", as part of the changes, the achievement of the target for the supply of agricultural products abroad is postponed to 2030 from 2024, the press service of the ministry told RIA Novosti.
"The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has developed a new passport for the federal project" Export of agricultural products ", which was approved by the minutes of the meeting of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation on strategic development and national projects of October 29, 2020 ... The passport of the federal project establishes a balanced approach to calculating the indicator for the volume of export of agricultural products, providing for its systematic and systematic growth to $ 45 billion by 2030, ”the ministry said.
The current version of the federal project assumes that the export of agricultural products from Russia will amount to $ 45 billion in 2024. The Ministry of Agriculture noted that the achievement of the national development goals of the Russian Federation until 2030 provides for the adjustment of national projects, including the International Cooperation and Export project, part of which is the federal project for the export of agricultural products.
“In order to unconditionally achieve the goal set by the President of the Russian Federation, export growth indicators for the reporting periods will be calculated in real terms and at comparable prices, that is, without taking into account the influence of inflation, changes in the price environment and the national currency exchange rate and other factors,” the press service said.
Exports of food products and agricultural raw materials from Russia, according to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation, in 2019 amounted to $ 24,83 billion, a decrease of 0,5% compared to the previous year. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reported that last year Russia supplied products and foodstuffs to foreign markets for $ 25,6 billion.
When calculating the indicators of the federal project "Export of agricultural products", the Ministry of Agriculture, in addition to the data of the Federal Customs Service, uses data from Rosstat on the export of fish and seafood outside the customs territory of the Russian Federation, as well as a number of other goods. The target level of supplies under the federal project for 2020 is $ 25 billion. The Ministry of Agriculture expects that the export of agricultural products this year will amount to at least $ 27 billion.
