For about a week, field work in the central zone of the Amur region was suspended due to the cyclone that covered the region on the weekend. For the whole of May, some areas got more than 2 monthly rainfall.
The most moistened were Romnensky, Oktyabrsky, Seryshevsky and Ivanovsky. As for the north of the region, there rainfall was moderate, so sowing will resume in the coming days. According to the operational report of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Amur grain agrarians have already reached the finish line, less than 10 percent are left. Even taking into account the suspension of work due to the cyclone, experts comment, there is every chance to meet the best agrotechnical deadlines (until June 10th). In addition, the May rains create favorable conditions for grain growth, increase the effectiveness of herbicides.
