Magnit has developed a simplified standard supply agreement for small agricultural producers who find it difficult to meet all the requirements of the network for medium and large suppliers. The simplified agreement will allow farmers to expand their presence on the shelves of the largest Russian retailer.
In the simplified agreement, the requirements regarding the level of fulfillment of obligations under the agreement have been reduced. Also, shorter terms have been set for payment for goods deliveries than those of large partners, and other concessions are also provided. At the same time, Magnit will strictly monitor compliance with contractual obligations on the part of contractors to ensure the availability and high quality of farm products on the shelf.
- The buyer loves farm products, which means we need to ensure the presence of these products on the shelf. The simplified delivery agreement is an important step in this direction. All over the country, we need farmers who grow berries, fruits, vegetables, dairy and meat products, so that we can offer our customers the freshest product. We are ready to work with small farms, start the first shipments from 500-1000 kg in order to work out the supply process, - says Jan Dunning, CEO of the Magnit network.
The company also launched the Farmer's Yard project, within which the retailer sells farm products on its own shelves, as well as the Farmer's Shop, where Magnit provides local producers with premises for rent on the territory of the shopping facility, and the entrepreneur sells his farm independently. products to buyers. In 2021, the company launched an educational program for peasant farms.
