The head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolaev, visited one of the leading enterprises in the region and Russia in the production of potatoes - the limited liability company Agrofirma Glory to the Potato in the village of Komsomolskoye, where he was presented with a modern potato storage facility.
After talking with the labor collective, the Head of the Republic expressed his gratitude to the management of the enterprise for the efficient conduct of agricultural activities.
“This year we will definitely implement investment agreements within the framework of the mechanism of agreements on the protection and promotion of capital investments (IPPA) and there, at least, we can follow the path of compensation for infrastructure costs. Naturally, we will support such projects that create modern technologies, modern jobs, and, most importantly, reach a different added value,” the head of the region noted.
Last year, the enterprise began building a new potato storage facility with a capacity of 4200 tons in the Komsomolsk region with the possibility of further processing (packaging) of products. This is one of the investment projects aimed at implementing the Strategy for the socio-economic development of the Chuvash Republic until 2035.
The new complex has become the company's eighth storage facility and fully covered the company's needs for storage capacity for products, which is about 28 tons of potatoes per year.
“We started building a new complex in 2021. Storage with a total area of 4680 sq.m. built in six months. Construction cost 166 million rubles. I had a dream - my own packaging center. About 60% of the area is occupied by the packing center. The equipment was purchased in the summer, delivered, now it is being adjusted. I hope we will launch it within a month,” said Khasiyatulla Idiatullin, General Director of Agrofirma Slava Potato LLC, and added that it is planned to sort, calibrate, wash and pack about 9600 tons of products per season in the storage working area.
Agrofirm "Slava Potato" is the largest potato-growing enterprise of the republic and is among the top ten largest producers of potatoes and vegetables in Russia. The farm is equipped with the latest agricultural machinery, equipment for sorting and laying potatoes.
The presence of modern storage facilities with automatic microclimate control allows the agricultural company to preserve the grown crop and subsequently supply quality products to consumers all year round.
The Glory to Potato group of companies unites four agricultural enterprises in three districts of the republic: the Slava Potato, Glory to Potato - Kanash, Komsomolskie Vegetables, and Glory to Potato - Yalchiki agricultural firm.
