The share of the agro-industrial complex in the gross regional product is 14,3 percent - about 85 billion rubles. Of these, agriculture accounts for 8 percent (47,1 billion rubles), processing industry - 6,3 percent (37,9 billion rubles). The share of those employed in the agro-industrial sector is 13 percent.
Within the framework of all existing programs at the end of this year, 5 billion rubles are provided for the development of villages and villages in the region. These funds were directed to the construction, repair of social, engineering and transport infrastructure facilities. Under the program "Comprehensive Development of Rural Areas of the Chuvash Republic", which will be financed in 2021 over 982 million rubles, about 1 projects are being implemented.
The volume of state support for the agro-industrial complex of Chuvashia, envisaged for 2021, is 3,6 billion rubles (109,3 percent higher compared to the level of 2020).
