In the Zhetysu region of Kazakhstan, a project is being considered for the construction of a new enterprise for the production of potato products. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the vice minister, together with representatives of the Dutch company Farm Frites, inspected a site in the industrial zone, where there is suitable infrastructure and the construction of a new food production is possible.
“If the project is successfully implemented, the region will need more producers of raw materials, in connection with which it is planned to implement an additional farm project to grow potatoes on an area of 10 hectares,” the ministry said.

Farm Frites was founded in 1971 in the Netherlands as a family business. For more than five years, the company has been growing potatoes (including seed potatoes) in various regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
