In "Luch" on the first day after the holidays, field work went on as usual. On this day, the Luchovites were engaged in planting potatoes and sowing corn. On the Yagoluda field, the "Grimme" potato planter was aggregated by a tractor by Oleg Starkov.
“This is a family business for them,” said chief agronomist Aleksey Chirkov, introducing the machine operator. - Father-in-law Moshkin Alexey Nikolaevich was successfully engaged in potato cultivation. Then he gave the potato planter together with the tractor to his son-in-law. Oleg's grandfather Serafim Lavrentievich Kayukin devoted many years to his native collective farm. Tractor driver, combine operator, he achieved great heights in different areas of production. These were the mentors he had. Now Oleg Petrovich himself has extensive experience of working on the ground. For many years he has been planting second bread. “You try to keep the rows even, because the work does not end with planting. The next stage is leaving, if you work carefully in the spring, it is easier to carry out subsequent operations. And it’s nice to look when the rows are even, ”says the machine operator.
Times change. Some technologies are replaced by new ones, technique and varieties are changing. Instead of those planters with which Alexey Moshkin worked. came "Grimme". “Everything here is hydraulics, it's easy to operate,” I hear praise for the imported mechanism. The names of the varieties of potatoes that will be cultivated - "Queen Anna", "Red Lady", caress your ear. However, beautiful names are not a guarantee of the successful sale of the grown products. Anna, Lady, and any varieties are not in great demand in recent years. Therefore, as in other farms, the area under potatoes has been reduced here, this year it will be cultivated only on 50 hectares.
A good plot is reserved for the second bread. The predecessor is clover. In autumn, the testis was harvested by treatment with glyphosate, then it was plowed with the addition of potassium chloride. In the spring, moisture was closed, then cultivated and planted. Ivan Shchetkin worked on the field with a mill, fertilizer was delivered by Nikolai Menshikov, and seed by Alexander Skobelev. As planters, Oleg Menshikov and Pavel Krasikov helped. People tried for the future harvest, let the labors be crowned with success.
Sowing of corn was carried out behind Gurez-Pudga. This season, for the first time, we purchased the imported Coryphaeus hybrid for 70 hectares. The goal is to obtain better quality silage. The field where it was sown also had clover before. They removed the first cut, waited for it to grow back a little, then treated it with a three-component poison. Manure was taken out in large quantities. The fact that the field is well manured is understandable to an unenlightened person in this matter. Here is such a plot went to the queen of fields. Dmitry Semakin, Valery Gorshkov, Vasily Golubyev worked here on soil cultivation, Alexander Shchetkin on the delivery of seeds, and Stanislav Vekshin as a seeder. And the main operation - sowing itself - was entrusted to Andrey Romanov. The Planter 3m pneumatic 400-row precision planter with which he has been operating is now in its seventh year. “You have already come to me to sow corn, the seeder was still newer,” the machine operator greets with a white-toothed smile. It is not necessary to teach him either this business or other sowing, harvesting and forage harvesting operations. An experienced, competent machine operator is not afraid to trust expensive equipment. I saw him with a Krone baler harvesting forage. Andrei Vasilyevich was busy sowing corn on the fourth day, the queen of the fields will be accommodated on 10 hectares, this is another 12-XNUMX days of continuous work.
The spring sowing campaign, as elsewhere, stretched out here. On the closure of moisture, harrowing, top dressing left on April 3, and on the 8th, the seeding units were brought out. But then it rained and the field work was stopped. “We sat there for two weeks and smoked bamboo,” chief agronomist Alexei Chirkov uses his vocabulary. 5-6% of the crops sown before the rains, as he said, did not sprout, the crust interferes, this is about 20 hectares. Thinking what to do with them. Reseeding? Or will the rains improve the situation? It just started raining that day, we were driving to the corn field in the rain.
The day before, the sowing of the Sorghum-Sudanese hybrid was completed, which diversifies the set of forage crops. It occupied an area of 40 hectares. This year the area under peas has been somewhat reduced, which is also done in favor of forage, because peas are not in great demand for these purposes. They decided not to sow spring rape at all. “You can buy it, it’s not that expensive, but it’s possible to take a place with other crops, we need feed. Everyone has a shortage of land in our area, including Gorod Oktyabr and Kamenny Klyuch, - the chief agronomist commented.
I remember a conversation at the reporting meeting, where it was noted that a little more mineral fertilizers were purchased for the current sowing campaign. They were introduced as planned, which gives hope for some yield increase. “We have almost the same amount of winter crops as in Kolos: rye, winter wheat, winter rapeseed. We are not afraid of drought, we will collect something anyway, ”Alexey Nikolaevich concluded our conversation optimistically.
