PotatoEurope exhibition will be held on September 4 and 5, 2019 in the Belgian city of Kane, near Tournai. This year, GRIMME will again demonstrate a large number of new modern technology at this site.
For the first time, an international audience will be presented with a two-row potato harvester with an EVO 280 hopper. Thanks to three large separators, the EVO 280 is characterized by high separation efficiency. With a hopper volume of 8 tons, problem-free cleaning of longer sections of the field is possible without stopping for unloading. All EVO 280 machines are equipped as standard with a telemetry device, which optionally transfers the parameters and location of the machine to the myGRIMME customer portal. Using a browser, the user can request the transferred data in the myGRIMME system and process it.
For visitors interested in handling equipment, a three-row GT 300 will be presented at PotatoEurope. A unique feature of the GT 300 is that for each intersection it reaches 50% more productivity than double-row combines.
In the field of self-propelled harvesting equipment, a four-row VARITRON 470 potato harvester with a wheeled undercarriage will be demonstrated. The MultiSep separator in combination with a small leaf top elevator will also be presented for maximum separation efficiency. The ring elevator conveyor is equipped with mesh pockets of the OptiBag conveyor, which provide an additional cleaning effect and at the same time extra-gentle handling of potatoes during transportation.
The highlight of the demonstration will be the VENTOR 4150 four-row self-propelled potato harvester. VENTOR is the first four-row potato harvester developed on the basis of the already established principle of operation of the SE series, which combines screening, vertical movement and leaf separation. For the first time, it was possible to double the working width compared to 2-row SE systems. The number of rows processed is doubled, and the number of sorting devices is also doubled. Thanks to maneuverability and a working width of 3 m, VENTOR can easily pass in any corner.
Since 2017, all machines of the EVO series and self-propelled combines have been equipped with a telemetry device as standard. The user has the opportunity to display on the myGRIMME portal the location of the machine on the maps in "real time" mode and simultaneously view the current machine data, for example, productivity per hectare and diesel fuel consumption.
In the storage technology category, the RH 24-60 Combi receiving hopper will be shown to the public. For the separation of lumps, stones and potatoes, a unique two-stage system is offered, which is integrated into the receiving hopper.
For the first time, the new TC 800 double belt conveyor will be shown for the gentle transport of crops from the hopper to the loader. For gentle transfer of potatoes from the first to the second belt conveyor, the Airbag belt lifting mechanism is used. A well-thought-out running gear with offset tandem wheels ensures easy conveyor movement to the loading side.
Next will be presented the telescopic belt loader SL 80-18 Quantum. The principle of Quantum is that the upstream receiving conveyor provides a more gentle transfer of the product, regardless of the angle of rotation and inclination of the telescopic handler.
Guests of the exhibition will be able to appreciate the 8-row folding boarding machine of the elevator type GL 860 Compacta, which, differing in productivity per unit area and quick field change, combines the advantages of a trailed 8-row and compact landing machine. At the GRIMME stand, a four-row GB 430 belt-type landing machine will also be shown. With GB 430, high speeds of up to 10 km / h are possible, depending on the type and size of tubers, planting density, machine equipment and soil conditions.
