The yield indicators of grain and industrial crops in agricultural firms managed by the management company "August-Agro" in Russia and Kazakhstan turned out to be one of the best in their areas of agriculture in 2022. The total volume of crop production received exceeded half a million tons. In addition, the livestock farms of Avgusta produced 40 thousand tons of milk in a year, which exceeds the result of 2021 by 62%. During the year, the management and specialists of "August-Agro" were engaged in the implementation of several large investment projects in the Republic of Tatarstan at once: for example, 3 dairy farms, 2 grain cleaning and drying complexes were built, the construction of a seed plant and an elevator began.
2022 contributed to the effective development of the agricultural direction of the company "August" - "Agroproekt". Today, August-Agro Management Company manages farms in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chuvash Republic, the Krasnodar Territory, as well as outside Russia - in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The total bank of agricultural lands exceeds 220 thousand hectares. Agricultural firms use resource-saving No-Till farming technology and precision farming methods.
The key region of "Agroproekt" is Tatarstan, where 190 thousand hectares of sown area "Augusta" are concentrated. In 2022, 300 thousand tons of grain and 200 thousand tons of oilseeds were harvested here. "August" became one of the largest producers of rapeseed in the country - its harvest amounted to 95 thousand tons. In terms of grain harvest, August-Agro Management Company was in the top three agricultural holdings of the Republic of Tatarstan, and its CEO Aidar Galyautdinov became the winner of the republican competition "Head of the Year 2022" in the nomination "For Achievements in Innovative Activities".
Avgust-Agro takes a comprehensive approach to the digitalization process. The farms have already implemented a telematics system, within which GPS controllers have been installed on more than a thousand machines for online monitoring of their work. In 2022, the agricultural machinery fleet was equipped with fuel level sensors with automatic alarms for responsible persons, thanks to which it was possible to reduce fuel consumption rates; the process of automated fuel dispensing at gas stations and fuel trucks has also been debugged. On the sowing complexes "August-Agro" there were sensors for monitoring the sowing of seeds, making it possible to avoid sifting and reseeding. The Avgust-Agro harvesting equipment was equipped with mobile crop loss control systems, as well as sensors for the movement of products from the field, which make it possible to record the number of unloadings and see the distribution of grain tonnage among combines. Now the company is setting up a system for tracking the movement of products of a full cycle - from the field to the grain acceptance point.
All Augusta fields have been digitized: interactive maps have been created for them, taking into account the vegetation index (NDVI) and terrain, thanks to which specialists know where to expect the best harvest, where problems have been identified and how the situation in the fields is changing. Based on these data, the company is currently implementing a project for the differentiated application of seeds and fertilizers, the essence of which is to redistribute their volumes to those areas of fields where the greatest return in the form of yield can be obtained. 11 meteorological stations with soil sensors were installed in the fields, and agronomists of the farms got new tools for making forecasts and determining the optimal "windows" for carrying out certain agrotechnological activities. Also in 2022, a working online production analytics service was launched, which made it possible to automate daily reporting and visualize all operational accounting using dashboards and charts.
In 2022, in the Tyulyachinsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, August-Agro Management Company began construction of its own seed plant for the production of elite and highly reproducible wheat and pea seeds. In addition, 2 grain-cleaning and drying complexes with a capacity of 100 tons per hour each in the Kaybitsky district of the republic were put into operation, 12 warehouses for outdoor storage of agricultural products were built, a mini-plant for the production of liquid nitrogen fertilizers (KAS-28) in the Muslyumovskaya district and 2 stationary solution units were put into operation for the preparation of working solutions of mineral fertilizers and plant protection products in the Kaibitsky district.
Also, 3 modern dairy farms were built in the August-Agro farms during the year: the second stage of the Urazmetyevo dairy complex in the Muslyumovsky district for 1200 cows, the first stage of the Yaltau dairy farm in the Leninogorsk district for 400 cows and the first stage of the Stepanovka dairy complex in the Menzelinsky district for 1200 heads of dairy herds (currently being prepared for launch). The total number of cattle in the farms of "August-Agro" is 9420 heads, including 5538 cows. During 2022, 40 thousand tons of milk were sold, which is 2021% higher than the result of 62. The average daily gross milk yield reached 116 tons of milk, which is 70% more than in the previous year.
In 2022, August-Agro launched a project of industry importance - the construction of the Sviyazhsk-Zernoprodukt elevator complex on the navigable section of the Sviyaga River, which opens access to the Volga. About 450 thousand tons of products will pass through the elevator during the year, and the total investment will amount to 2,4 billion rubles.
“The elevator complex will be distinguished by the technology of fast shipment,” says Aidar Galyautdinov. - Trains and ships will be able to load in about 10 hours, while on average for such infrastructure in Russia it takes up to 3-4 days. The site where the elevator is being built has both a quay wall and a railway, thanks to which our complex can be used all year round: we will combine shipping methods and work all 12 months. There are no other similar sites in Tatarstan.”
