Representatives of Russia, Uzbekistan and Turkey reduced sales, while the supply of fruits and vegetables from Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Iran and Egypt increased. There were announcements from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. The top five most active countries in terms of the number of offers posted per week are as follows: Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Belarus and Iran.
The leader of the vegetable segment last week was potatoes, which were actively sold by participants from Russia, Belarus and Egypt. At the same time, Egyptian exporters have already offered potatoes for the new 2022 crop!
The shortage of white cabbage in Russia led to a reduction in supply even by Eastfruit. At the same time, participants from neighboring countries (Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan) are trying to fill it, actively offering cabbage for the Russian market. They even offered Ukrainian cabbage with delivery through Belarus. The supply of onions and Beijing cabbage has increased.
Demand for fruits and vegetables remained low. Most participants bought potatoes. We were also actively looking for suppliers of cabbage and carrots.
