Russian potato producers manage to actively raise prices, and these products are becoming more expensive almost daily.
As evidenced by the daily monitoring of the project, at the beginning of this week, prices for potatoes in the main regions of production in the Russian Federation started at 12 rubles / kg (0,21 $ / kg). Today, almost none of the major manufacturers is ready to conclude deals cheaper than 13 rubles / kg ($ 0,22 / kg), and the maximum prices even reach 18 rubles / kg ($ 0,31 / kg).
Thus, over a week, potatoes in Russia went up by 13-18% and today they are on average 1,5 times more expensive than in the first half of February 2017. Moreover, many farmers declare their intention to further increase prices. They explain their decision to the rush demand for quality potatoes. At the same time, the supply of such products on the market is somewhat limited, as some large farms still hinder the sale of high-quality potatoes in the hope of a further rise in price.
