Frequent rainfall in the Kirov region slowed the pace of spring sowing in the Kirov region; massive sowing of spring crops continues. As of May 18, 2020, sowing was carried out on an area of 200 thousand ha, which is 62% of the plan.
According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, 77 thousand hectares of spring barley, 48 thousand hectares of spring wheat, 26 thousand hectares of oats and 11 thousand hectares of leguminous crops were sown, among which the main place is peas. 24 thousand hectares of annual grasses were sown for forage, 9 thousand hectares of spring rape and 2 thousand hectares of corn for silage were sown.
