The company "August" will build a logistics complex in the Lipetsk region with an investment of more than 500 million rubles. The complex will be located on the Eletsky site of the special economic zone of industrial and production type (SEZ PPT) "Lipetsk", its capacity will be over 20 thousand pallet spaces. From this site, supplies of chemical plant protection products (CPPP) will be carried out to the agrarians of the Central Black Earth Region and neighboring regions. On September 15, at the regional administration, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the head of the Lipetsk region administration Igor Artamonov and the chairman of the board of directors of JSC "August" Mikhail Danilov.
“We have many different industries in the region, but there was no logistics complex yet. It is very pleasant that the largest Russian company has chosen the Lipetsk region. I think that this property will become a reference point for other investors specializing in warehouse real estate. I hope our cooperation will be fruitful and will lead to the implementation of new projects ”, - Igor Artamonov assessed the prospects of partnership.
The complex with a capacity of more than 20 thousand pallets on the territory of the Yeletsk site of the SEZ PPT "Lipetsk" will serve as a distribution and sorting center for agricultural enterprises of the agro-industrial sector, as well as farms in the region and neighboring regions. The logistics center will be able to accommodate over 10 thousand tons of plant protection products. Finished products of all production sites of the "August" company will be accumulated on its territory. The complex will take on a significant part of the current load of factories for the accumulation, storage and distribution of products. Thanks to this, agricultural producers will receive a wide range of preparations with the possibility of their quick shipment. This factor plays an especially important role in outbreaks of pest activity or plant diseases, when every day can be important to preserve the harvest. At the logistics center, it is planned to create its own transport division in order to ensure prompt delivery of the necessary drugs to agricultural enterprises if necessary.
“We expect that the commissioning of the logistics complex will take place at the beginning of 2022 - by this time the volume of investments in the project should be about half a billion rubles,” noted Mikhail Danilov. - We have been choosing a place for it for over 4 years. The Lipetsk region is one of the key regions of work for us, agriculture is actively developing here, and the possibilities of the special economic zone increase the return on investment in the region. The convenient location of the logistics center on the Eletsky section of the Lipetsk SEZ ensures its close proximity to the M-4 Don highway, one of the country's main agricultural routes. This is an exit to the Central Black Earth Region and to the neighboring regions: Tula, Orel, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Ryazan, Tambov regions - all the way to Volgograd. We also plan to improve communication with Stavropol and Kuban. After the implementation of the project, farmers of all these regions will be able to get the necessary plant protection products more quickly. For the future, we set ourselves the goal that in the "coverage area" of our logistics complex, the period from the client's request to the delivery of our products to him is no more than 24 hours. "
In the coming months, the company "August" intends to become a resident of the SEZ "Lipetsk". This will allow the project to receive additional benefits and preferences, according to the regional administration, as well as to integrate into the agrarian-industrial cluster that is being formed on the territory of the Yeletsky area.
