“Companies of the Moscow region continue to expand the import substitution program in terms of general consumption products, which have become a traditional part of the daily life of Russian citizens. The region has begun producing several new types of chips with different flavors entirely from domestic potatoes, while the new product is planned to be sold throughout the country,” said Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region Georgy Filimonov, who oversees the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
Currently, the chips are already on sale, the deputy chairman said.
The product is produced by the Mareven Food Central company, one of the factories of which is located in the urban district of Serpukhov. This is a large food industry enterprise producing a wide range of food and beverage products. So, since the beginning of this year, the company has produced 251 million packs of noodles, mashed potatoes and other instant products, as well as pasta.
