In the Kuban, the need to introduce organic fertilizers into the soil will be approved at the legislative level, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture said.
“An initiative is being prepared to amend the regional law on fertility. As part of the changes, it is planned to oblige agricultural producers of all forms of ownership to introduce certain doses of organic fertilizers into the soil. In addition, a measure of responsibility for non-observance of these norms will be approved by law, ”the message says.
According to Vice-Governor Andrei Korobka, this provision will be introduced “to preserve the potential of ... agricultural land, increase crop yields, and also bring the livestock industry to a new level of development.”
He clarified that one of the factors in reducing fertility is the cessation of the application of organic fertilizers. After all, farmers in the region are increasingly increasing the dose of mineral fertilizers.
It is planned that amendments to the fertility law will be introduced before the end of this year.
