The Ministry of Industry and Trade does not see the need for freezing or strict regulation of prices for mineral fertilizers. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the department.
Now the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Economic Development have developed a model for forecasting fertilizer prices. It provides for the calculation of the availability of these products in the domestic market.
"In the event of an explosive (or unjustified) rise in prices for mineral fertilizers, the government of the Russian Federation will take appropriate response measures," the Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized.
The FAS conducted an audit in a number of regions, according to the results of which the facts of an unreasonable increase in fertilizer prices were not revealed, the ministry added.
Earlier, the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev said that in 2020 there was an increase in prices for mineral fertilizers (10-41% for various components), which continued in 2021.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture ruled out the possibility of a shortage of mineral fertilizers. “I hope that in 2021 we will reach 55 kilograms per hectare of arable land. This is higher than last year, ”the minister said during his speech in the Kremlin. At the same time, the required volume is considered to be 80 kilograms per hectare, the department hopes to achieve such a result by 2025.
