In the Bryansk region, as of April 20, the specialists of the Russian Agricultural Center checked 57,4 thousand tons of seed potatoes, which is 66% of the filled volume. This was reported in the press service of the department.
Almost all potatoes (97,5%) meet the requirements of GOST. Scab, dry and wet rot, rhizoctonia, as well as mechanical damage and traces of wireworm are found in small quantities.
Experts remind that most potato diseases are transmitted through seed tubers. In order to develop a comprehensive tuber protection system, it is important to analyze the potatoes before planting.
