Swedish vegan dairy brand Dug has introduced the world's first potato-based plant-based milk.
Not only does it foam like real dairy products, but it is much more environmentally friendly, even when compared to competing plant-based milk types, writes Green Queen.
Dug was created by Veg of Lund, a food innovator. The product is based on research by Professor Eva Thornberg of the University of Lund.
Instead of soy, oats, or almonds, Dug actually uses potatoes.
The manufacturer claims it is "the world's first potato-based vegan milk."
In addition to potatoes, "milk" contains pea protein, maltodextrin, chicory fibers, rapeseed oil and natural flavors. Milk is also fortified with vitamins including D, B12, and folic acid.
