In the Smolensk region, Rosselkhoznadzor experts rejected 79,6 tons of potatoes, 3 tons of tomatoes and 1,6 tons of dried medicinal plants that were imported into the region with violations.
According to the press service of the department, at the reception point for notifications “Krasnaya Gorka”, during the control of 20 tons of Belarusian potatoes, management specialists found out that it was imported without a phytosanitary certificate. Also, the invalid phytosanitary certificate became the basis for the return of potatoes weighing 16 tons and tomatoes weighing 3 tons from Belarus. In addition, two lots of potatoes with a total weight of 43,6 tons and 1,6 tons of dried medicinal plants were rejected, as the actual numbers of vehicles carrying goods did not correspond to those indicated in the accompanying documents.
The press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor noted that all of the above products were returned to senders.
