On August 12, a working meeting was held at the Regional Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory under the chairmanship of the head of the agrarian department of the region, Vladimir Sitnikov, with representatives of the StavropolAgroSoyuz agricultural holding.
- Within the framework of the tasks set before us by the Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov for the development of land reclamation, the state program of the Territory "Development of Agriculture" is being implemented. It is planned to use a total of 1,4 billion rubles of state support for it and to put into operation irrigation systems that will cover farmland with an area of about 10 thousand hectares. In the next four years, we plan to invest over 20 billion rubles from various sources in the development of land reclamation. We expect that by 2025 this will give us up to five thousand new jobs in the agro-industrial complex and 100 thousand hectares of irrigated land, - said the Minister of Agriculture of the region Vladimir Sitnikov.
The meeting discussed the program "Development of Land Reclamation of Agricultural Land of Russia" and the participation of StavropolAgroSoyuz in 2019. As part of the participation in the program, the company plans to commission over 2024 thousand hectares of irrigated land for a total amount of 10 billion rubles for the production of agricultural products until 2.
This year, the agricultural holding is already introducing 816 hectares of irrigated land worth 146 million rubles. The total land area of StavropolAgroSoyuz LLC is more than 100 thousand hectares. Group enterprises are located in five administrative regions of the Stavropol Territory. The main areas of activity are crop production and animal husbandry. The agricultural holding is actively restoring and developing irrigated land, opening up additional opportunities for successful production.
As was said, at the next meeting of the Land Reclamation Council, interaction with StavropolAgroSoyuz will be considered in detail.
