Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov introduced an emergency mode in several eastern regions of the region.
As indicated in the decree of the head of the region, such measures are associated with the death and damage of crops from soil drought in the Blagodarnensky and Petrovsky urban districts, Arzgir and Turkmen regions. And in the Levokumsky, Novoselitsky districts and the Neftekumsky urban district, the emergency mode was introduced due to a complex of adverse weather events, namely frosts.
The regional authorities predict a decrease in grain yield. Losses can reach 30 percent.
- Currently we are in the most difficult weather and climatic conditions. The lack of moisture in a meter layer and severe frosts led to extremely negative consequences for the industry. A decision was made to allocate additional funds for the maintenance of perennial plantations in the amount of 79 million rubles, and the issue of allocating funds from the regional budget for an artificial increase in precipitation was also worked out. We have one common task - to preserve the economic stability of our agricultural enterprises and peasant farms and prevent a financial collapse. Therefore, the high-quality work of banks and insurance companies in the territory of the region is so important, as well as a flexible system of interaction between the federal tax service, - said Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Sitnikov.
