The European Business Association is launching a pilot project "Agro Warta" in Ukraine, the goal of which is to introduce a culture of responsible handling of used containers from plant protection products. This was announced on April 27 by the EBA press service.
“Now for the state, it is relevant to increase the collection and ensure proper processing of this container, improve logistics routes to optimize the collection process, establish communication between all entities, as well as improve the efficiency of handling used containers,” the message says.
Among the participants of Agro Varta are the leading manufacturers and importers of plant protection products: Adama Ukraine, Bayer, BASF TOV, Nufarm Ukraine, Summit Agro-Ukraine LLC, Syngenta "," FMS Ukraine "," UPL Ukraine ".
It is also reported that within the framework of the project, companies have been selected that have a license from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine to handle hazardous waste, the contacts of which are indicated on the EBA website. In the near future, it is planned to launch an electronic platform, with the help of which it will be possible to submit applications for the collection and processing of containers from plant protection products in an online format.
“The selected companies will provide a full cycle of handling containers from the plant protection products of the companies participating in the project free of charge (collection, storage, transportation, processing),” the message says.
