Today, store vegetables are getting more expensive every day, and buyers are concerned about their quality. South Ural farmers and eco-activists have figured out how to switch to guaranteed provision of environmentally friendly vegetables. The agricultural start-up “Vegetable Revolution” is a kind of custom-made vitamin production in a suburban farm.
“The main goal is to ensure the food security of the residents of Chelyabinsk,” eco-activist, social entrepreneur Dmitry Zakarlyukin said at a press conference at the Granada Press media holding. - We have already tested this cooperative scheme in the framework of the previous social projects “Fathers and Sons”, “Sharing” and “Dummies”. And the essence of the new project is the conclusion of a contract for an annual supply of products directly from the farmer at the sowing stage and in the early stages of harvesting. In other words, this is an order for a farmer to grow vegetables. ”
According to Dmitry Zakarlyukin, depositors (today there are 40 of them, and soon will be 250), the annual vegetable supply will cost only 5 thousand rubles, which they will contribute to the cash register of the cooperative. For them, they will grow potatoes, cabbage, carrots, beets, onions, and the harvest will be placed in a vegetable store. Each week, you can pick up your grocery basket of 5 kg of potatoes and vegetables at a distribution point in the city center or arrange home delivery. Thus, the city dweller will be provided with a stock of products for the next year directly from the manufacturer, bypassing retail chains. The price will be affected by the exclusion of intermediaries. The agricultural partner, the farmer and deputy director of the Mitrofanovsky agricultural enterprise, Fedor Rytslov, has already joined the project. On his farm and will grow vegetables to order.
“We have extensive experience in growing potatoes and vegetables, which we have been engaged in since 2001,” says Fedor Rytslov. - We plan to grow environmentally friendly products using a minimum of chemicals. Moreover, working directly with the manufacturer, you can control all stages of growing vegetables. On the other hand, when placing an order for a farmer in the early stages, the consumer fixes the price of borscht set products for the whole year. This is beneficial to all parties and is ultimately cheaper than in stores. An additional plus is a guaranteed annual supply. By signing a contract, a person receives not only an annual supply of products, but also a guarantee that every week he will have his own vegetable basket. ”
According to the authors of the project, the scheme is very convenient for people working at work who are taking care of their health, which is directly affected by the quality of the products. But she also interested pensioners: no need to go to the store, carry heavy bags and risk health in a pandemic.
“In this project we plan to grow vegetables using the latest digital agricultural technologies,” added the representative of the innovative company “Agrator” Andrei Lazarev. - This year, having put smart sensors on the machines, we will test digital control at all its stages, we will draw up an electronic technological map of the fields. Our cooperative "folding" is somewhat reminiscent of a system of food certificates launched in Nizhny Novgorod, Buryatia and the Lipetsk region (there they issued a document on the supply of vegetables to consumers), but with its own characteristics. "
As the startup authors added, they plan to send 10% of the grown crop to charity. With the participation of 250 cooperators, you can additionally feed up to 1000 needy people who find themselves in difficult life situations.
