The number of private farmsteads growing potatoes for sale increased 4,5 times.
According to the All-Russian Agricultural Census, in 2016 the region had 490 thousand personal subsidiary and other individual households of citizens, Nizhny Novgorodstat reports.
According to statistics, Nizhny Novgorod allocated an average of 0,7 hundred parts for growing vegetables. Most often onions were grown onions, cabbage and carrots.
At the same time, over the past ten years the number of Nizhny Novgorod farms has increased, where residents grew crops for subsequent sale. In particular, 166 farmsteads were sown with potatoes up to 5 ha, while most of Nizhny Novgorod allocated a maximum of two hundred square meters.
The most common fruit trees were cherries and apple trees. Such southern cultures as cherries, apricots, cherry plums and grapes also began to plant more readily.
