Swiss company Zasso's patented electric weed control solution is a non-chemical alternative to herbicides, according to Zasso's official website. It is also effective, but completely non-toxic, leaves no residue and is easy to use.
Chemical herbicides were popular in the 20th century, reducing costs and increasing yields. But now there are very good reasons why alternative weeding technologies are an important step forward.
Zasso uses advanced power electronics and the latest technology to effectively kill target plants and minimize the use of chemical herbicides. Electroherb™ technology provides sustainable and economical weed control to meet the needs of farmers and gardeners.
We are in a period of transition where, for the first time in almost half a century, the world of crop protection services is being revolutionized.
Electroherb™ is a weed control technology based on a proven, non-selective electro-physical mode of action. Its successful application is guaranteed by the rapid dynamic adjustment of the high voltage power delivered to the target plants through a closed, uniform and directional electrical circuit.
In addition to the high level of sophistication, all products are CE certified, which guarantees the highest level of safety control.
The XP300 is Zasso's agricultural equipment using patented Electroherb™ technology. The system characteristics of electrophysical weeding allow reliable control of unwanted weeds, even the most invasive or herbicide-resistant species.
The XP300 is part of the AGXTEND XPower™ family of electrical weeding solutions. At the moment, it is only commercially available in Europe, exclusively through CNH Industrial.
Tractor based on XP300 with a working width of 3 m is designed for agricultural use. Customers use the XP300 for pre-emergence weeding or catch crop destruction. The XP300 system consists of two components that attach to the front and rear of the tractor. The power supply includes a generator, an electrical control box and a switch cabinet. The front applicator block (3 m) includes 24 high-voltage power modules with a capacity of 72 kW. The flexible electrodes adapt well to any weed, providing optimum power.
