About 40 thousand tons of vegetables per year will be able to process the new Akhtuba cannery - with state support, the implementation of an investment project worth 3,5 billion rubles has been completed, reports press service of the Administration of the Volgograd region.
Not just to grow vegetables in the Volgograd region, but also to process the bulk of the products here - a few years ago, the task set by Governor Andrei Bocharov sounded like something impossible to many. However, the opening of new enterprises, the increase in the volume of processing of fruits and vegetables more than doubled over 8 years (from 200 to 464 tons) is an example of how authorities and investors can work harmoniously and efficiently to achieve their goals.
The project worth 3,5 billion rubles was implemented in two years, even despite the pandemic. The investor used both his own funds and the possibilities of a preferential investment loan. In addition, part of the costs for the construction of infrastructure that ensures the operation of the enterprise will be reimbursed.
“I congratulate the residents of the Volgograd region, the country, on the fact that one of the largest canning factories in Russia and Europe has been launched on our territory. We cooperate with Uncle Vanya on a constructive basis. In just two years, serious plans have been implemented, - Andrey Bocharov placed special emphasis on the use of local high-quality raw materials. — The project has a great continuation. We are already discussing the launch of additional lines.”
From the point of view of logistics, the place for construction was not chosen by chance: the plant was built in Volzhsky - in the neighborhood of the regions - leaders in the production of vegetable products. The capacity of the facility is the processing of 40 thousand tons of raw materials per year, the production of up to 100 million cans of finished products under the Uncle Vanya trademark.
“The plant was built in an open field, communications were brought up in a very short time - without the involvement of the regional administration in such a short time, the project would not have been possible to implement,” the founder of Akhtuba Cannery LLC Tigran Telunts emphasized that the region has everything necessary, starting with the weather and ending with the constructive attitude of the agro-industrial complex management bodies to ensure the successful operation of such enterprises.
The first batch of canned food will be produced in the third quarter of 2022. Most of the raw materials will be processed immediately, but about 20% will be stored in 14 underground bunkers. The product range will vary from season to season. For example, in winter and spring, vegetable salads and snacks are a priority.
It should be noted that both vegetables from the company's own fields and farm products, including those frozen at such enterprises in the region as Volgogradtruboplast, Volgomyasomoltorg and MFC Razvitie, will be involved in the production.
We plan to supply finished products both to the Russian market and send them abroad.
It is important that the work of the new site will allow not only to realize the potential of the agro-industrial complex of the Volgograd region, to contribute to the solution of the common task of ensuring food security, but also to ensure employment for the population - 160 jobs have already been created at the plant, with an increase in the capacity of the enterprise, their number will increase to 500 .
We emphasize that the Volgograd Region creates conditions for comfortable work for investors: in general, since 2014, more than 1 investment projects worth about 150 billion rubles have been implemented in the agricultural sector. In 50, the implementation of 2022 projects worth about 197 billion rubles continues.
