Issues related to the completion of the harvesting campaign were discussed at a hardware meeting in the regional akimat, held in videoconference mode, Kazinform reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the press service of the head of the region.
Serik Batyrguzhinov, head of the agriculture department, told at the meeting about the autumn field work. This year, the harvested area was 1,182 million hectares, which is 10% more than last year. “Harvesting of grain crops is 100% complete, the gross harvest amounted to more than 827 thousand tons with an average yield of 9,2 centners per hectare,” said the head of the agricultural department. - Potatoes were harvested on an area of 18,8 thousand hectares, the gross harvest amounted to more than 596 thousand tons with an average yield of 318 centners per hectare. In general, the harvesting campaign is over, farmers have only to harvest sunflower on an area of about 1 hectares. " Akim of Pavlodar region noted that after harvesting, it is important to preserve the quality of the harvest and ensure the region's need for agricultural products. Today there are 7 licensed grain-receiving enterprises operating in the region, the storage capacity of which is more than 301 thousand tons. The elevators already store 82 thousand tons of grain, 45 thousand of which is a new harvest.
“There are 137 vegetable storages with a capacity of 398 thousand tons for storing potatoes and vegetables,” added Serik Batyrguzhinov. - Most of them are equipped with modern technological equipment. 260 thousand tons of potatoes and 80 thousand tons of vegetables have already been laid. "
