At a regular meeting of the government of the Tver region, they discussed preparations for carrying out spring field work in the region. For these purposes in 2020 more than 214 million rubles of state support will be allocated. The development of the agro-industrial complex was named by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin among the key conditions for increasing the efficiency of the national economy. It is necessary to ensure not only an increase in the volume of production, but also its quality.
“To increase the production and quality of agricultural products, it is necessary to organize timely delivery of state support to agricultural enterprises, provide them with the necessary assistance in providing seeds, mineral fertilizers, fuels and lubricants, machinery and spare parts,” Igor Rudenya noted, noting as a key task, putting into circulation unused agricultural land and preventing the disposal of land from circulation. Particular attention should also be paid to the development of the flax complex and support for livestock.
The topic was commented by the head of the Sandovsky district Oleg Gryaznov.
- We are just now approaching the regional Ministry of Agriculture with potential investors, one turn remains. It will be about a promising project in the field of crop production, namely, growing seed potatoes. As you can see, interest in the Tver region, and in our region, in particular, in the development of agriculture, is growing. And state support in the agricultural sector is a kind of signal that the industry has a future. This year the support is solid. And I would very much like a significant part of it to be directed specifically at the development of small and medium-sized agricultural businesses. In the Tver region there are large companies and agro-industrial holdings that are firmly on their feet and create an "image" of the region's agricultural products throughout Russia and beyond. Now it is important to pay attention specifically to small farms and start-up companies, to family businesses, to agricultural cooperation. After all, the revival of each specific village depends on such inconspicuous workers.
