The Darry Ordynska LLC vegetable and vegetable production company is ready to enter the program for growing potato chips that meets the requirements of PepsiCo for the snack plant under construction, the press service of the regional government said.
Today, the producer of the "Gifts of Ordynsk" harvests - 15 thousand tons of potatoes and 7 thousand tons of vegetables. In the future, the agricultural company is ready to increase potato production up to 40-60 thousand tons. The company purchased equipment for the summer irrigation of potatoes, which will significantly increase productivity.
It is noted that in 2019, the sown area in the “OPH Dary Ordynska” will be 1,9 thousand hectares, including 1,4 thousand hectares will be occupied by grain and leguminous crops, the planted area of potatoes will be 300 hectares, vegetables of open ground (cabbage, carrots, beets, pumpkin, zucchini) - 159 ha.
Recall that the agreement on the implementation of the project for the construction of a factory for the production of snacks, with an estimated investment estimate of about 12 billion rubles, was signed by the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov, the President of PepsiCo in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and the Caucasus in February as part of the Russian Investment Forum-2019. and in Central Asia, Neil Starrock and Director General of the Agency for Investment Development of the Novosibirsk Region, Alexander Zyryanov.
It is planned that about 900 new jobs will be created at the new plant (excluding related jobs related to resource and service provision of the site). The construction of the plant is scheduled to be completed in 2021. The products of the new PepsiCo enterprise will be presented in all regions of Siberia, the Urals and the Far East, as well as in neighboring countries.
