Sowing of open ground vegetables and planting potatoes started in Crimea. This was announced by the Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alime Zaredinova, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea reports.
“According to the operational information of the district administrations of the republic, the first 30 hectares are sown in the Krasnogvardeisky and Pervomaisky districts. This year, agricultural producers plan to sow more than 4,7 thousand hectares of early vegetable crops in open ground and plant more than 2,6 thousand hectares of potatoes. In 2021, the area under potatoes and vegetable and gourd crops in the open field was increased by 600 hectares compared to 2020 and amounted to more than 12 hectares,” the Acting Minister specified.
Alime Zaredinova noted that in 2021, agricultural producers harvested 131 tons of open-ground vegetables.
