The Russian government plans to maintain support for agriculture in the country until 2022. This was reported by Interfax with reference to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Medvedev made this statement at a meeting in Gorki on federal budget spending for the next three years. The prime minister noted that support for the industry has already helped to achieve food security this year. As an example, he named leadership in grain harvest and export. Let us also remind that Russia is included in the list of the largest countries producing potatoes, meat and dairy products and eggs.
Recall that last year in the Russian Federation more than 120 million tons of grain in net weight were collected, of which 43,3 million tons were exported, including 35,2 million tons of wheat. According to various estimates, this year it is expected to harvest 126-130 million tons, of which 45 million tons of grain will be delivered abroad, including 36 million tons of wheat.
According to government estimates, this year 308 million rubles will be allocated to support the industry. In addition to the main sub-sectors of crop and livestock production, these funds will be used for the integrated development of rural areas, support for agricultural exports and cooperation, the development of aquaculture and the supply of fish products, as well as for the scientific development of the industry, including digitalization.
