The Russian government plans to maintain agricultural support in the country until 2022. It is reported by Interfax, citing Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
This statement was made by Medvedev at a meeting in Gorki on federal budget spending for the next three years. The prime minister noted that industry support has already helped achieve food security this year. An example he called leadership in the harvest and export of grain. We also recall that Russia is on the list of the largest countries producing potatoes, meat and dairy products and eggs.
Recall that last year in the Russian Federation more than 120 million tons of grain in net weight were collected, of which 43,3 million tons were exported, including 35,2 million tons of wheat. According to various estimates, this year it is expected to harvest 126-130 million tons, of which 45 million tons of grain will be delivered abroad, including 36 million tons of wheat.
According to government estimates, this year 308 million rubles will be allocated to support the industry. In addition to the main sub-sectors of crop and livestock production, these funds will be used for the integrated development of rural areas, support for agricultural exports and cooperation, the development of aquaculture and the supply of fish products, as well as for the scientific development of the industry, including digitalization.
