Members of the working group on cooperation between Primorye and the Republic of Belarus discussed the results of joint activities at a meeting held in Vladivostok on October 7. The meeting was attended by the Governor of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako and the Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Leonid Zayats.
During the meeting, achievements in the field of agriculture were discussed: agreements on scientific cooperation were concluded on the exchange of breeding material for fruit, berry crops, and potatoes. Training and exchange of specialists are carried out. According to the Minister of Agriculture of the Primorsky Territory Andrei Bronts, today four agricultural institutions of Belarus interact with Primorye, planned work is underway to introduce technologies and varieties.
“This year we have already conducted 14 agro-ecological tests on potato varieties. Three varieties demonstrated excellent harvest performance. We propose to carry out an accelerated expansion of the zone in Primorye on them, ”the head of the department noted.
Oleg Kozhemyako instructed the heads of the regional executive authorities to mobilize all resources for the implementation of the agreements reached by the parties and to strengthen interaction with Belarusian partners.
