Farmers of the Kalinin district of the Krasnodar Territory continue to plant early potatoes. The most common varieties this year were: Impala, Zhukovsky early, Luck, Red Scarlett, Rocco and Romano. Kalininians plant several varieties with different ripening dates. This is due to difficulties in predicting the temperature regime in spring and summer, as well as future consumer demand. According to the agricultural department of the municipality administration, today over 3450 ha of potatoes have already been planted in personal subsidiary and peasant (farmer) farms, which makes up more than 80% of the total sown area.
