The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia sent a draft of a new law on land management to the Government for consideration. This follows from the information published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts. Parliamentary newspaper.
The draft law provides for the development of a land management map, which, along with territorial planning documents, is required for the rational use of land and its protection.
It also provides for the relationship of planning documents for the rational use of land with territorial planning documents and planning documentation.
A significant innovation is the direct connection of land management activities with activities in the field of strategic planning, the explanatory note to the bill says.
The document is aimed at solving one of the most important problems - changing the type of permitted use of a land plot from the composition of agricultural land. Such a procedure will be carried out taking into account the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the land on the basis of the project of on-farm land management.
Aleksey Mayorov, head of the Committee of the Federation Council on Agrarian and Food Policy and Nature Management, back in mid-April announced the need for a significant update of the Federal Law “On Land Management”. In his opinion, it is important to update the legislation on the withdrawal of unused land. The issue of efficient use of agricultural land is directly related to the country's food security, the senator noted.
