Key events of the year In addition, Roskrakhmalpatoka highlights a number of key industry events in 2018.
• The largest processor of corn grain and the manufacturer of various types of starches, sugary products and high protein feeds, AMILKO LLC, has increased the production capacity of corn grain processing up to 800 tons / day. By 2022, the starch factory plans to process up to 500 thousand tons of grain per year. AMILCO also plans to organize a biotechnological cluster for deep processing of grain in the Rostov region.
• The launch of a maltodextrin production line at the Gulkevichsky Krasnodar starch plant is also a landmark achievement. Let us remind you that maltodextrin is a hygroscopic powder obtained from starch processing and used in baby food, sports products, bakery and confectionery products as a sugar substitute. Upon reaching full capacity, the production volume will be 80 tons / day, which will completely "cover" the needs of domestic enterprises. In August 2018, the plant opened a representative office in the Skolkovo Innovation Center to provide technological support to consumers, provide advice on the introduction of maltodextrin into product formulations.
• American food company Cargill is creating a biotechnological cluster in the Tula region. The total amount of investments is 10 billion rubles, of which 1,5 billion rubles are Cargill funds. The agreement on the creation of the cluster was signed by the government of the Tula region, the head of the Russian representative office of Cargill Elena Zosimova and the head of the Efremov administration, Sergei Baltabaev, on May 24, 2018, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. According to the agreement, the cluster will be created on the territory of advanced social and economic development (PSEDA) "Efremov", on a plot of 30 hectares. A number of small and medium-sized enterprises for the deep processing of agricultural raw materials will be located there.
• In the spring of 2018, an American grain trader and one of the world's largest producers of food ingredients and feed ingredients Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) bought a 50% stake in starch feed from Aston, a Russian starch and sweetener company. As a result of the transaction, Aston will expand its product range and improve product quality.
