“The last decade for the industry of deep grain processing was marked by the growth of production capacities, the modernization of existing enterprises, the concentration of production, which expanded the diversification of the industrial economy and ensured good dynamics in the production of the main types of products, increased its competitiveness.
It can be said with full confidence that the use of the rating assessment of enterprises indicates an increase in the authority of the Soyuzkrakhmal Association and a significant growth potential for the industry as a whole. The presence of a company rating is an indicator that it is open and keeps up with modern trends, expands the opportunities for attracting investments, and also contributes to entering the international market. An analysis of the rated areas of its activity will allow each enterprise of the Soyuzkrakhmal Association to form programs for more efficient development,” says Nikolai Lukin, Dr. sciences, deputy director for scientific work of the All-Russian Research Institute of Starch Products.
“The industry rating was held for the first time. It was attended by the largest companies in the industry of deep processing of grain. The rating indicators in a compact and concise form reflect the state and prospects of our industry, to some extent playing the role of indicators for decision-making by both investors and regulators. In the future, we plan to conduct such ratings on a regular basis,” commented Oleg Radin, President of the Soyuzkrakhmal Association.
Ranking methodology
The company rating methodology is based on the assessment of the following criteria: economic performance, innovativeness of the enterprise, social responsibility of business, prospects, the company's contribution to the development of the deep grain processing industry in Russia.
Economic indicators include raw material processing capacity per day, headcount, revenue and profit. These four criteria are evaluated in the nomination "Economic indicators of the enterprise". The assessment was based on the data of the Federal Tax Service of Russia and Rosstat, presented in the VLSI system. Companies had the opportunity to correct data from open sources, in which case they sent supporting documents to the organizers.
For a comprehensive assessment of the work of enterprises, a survey of companies was conducted. Eight companies took part in the survey. On the basis of personal data, the nominations "Innovation of the enterprise", "Social responsibility of business", "Prospects for the development of the company", "Contribution of the company to the development of the industry of deep grain processing" were built.
