The Rosselkhoznadzor informs that during the state quarantine phytosanitary control of a batch of potatoes that entered the territory of the Russian Federation from the Arab Republic of Egypt, produced in the cultivation zone No. 45.11.51.14, declared by the Egyptian side as free from brown bacterial rot of potatoes, the causative agent of this disease - a bacterium Pseudomonas (Ralstonia) solanacearum (Smith) Yabuuchi et al. This facility is quarantine for the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Taking into account the above, from April 6, 2021, the Rosselkhoznadzor introduces temporary restrictions on the supply of potatoes to the Russian Federation from the Arab Republic of Egypt, produced in the specified zone, until the outbreaks of the identified quarantine object for the EAEU member states are completely eliminated.
