According to the regional governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex, as of October 1, 2020, farmers have about 2,6 thousand beet-harvesting machines. At the same time, in order to carry out harvesting operations within the established agro-technological terms, the required fleet of such specialized equipment should be about 3 thousand units. According to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, agricultural producers by 2025 will purchase at least 50 self-propelled sugar beet harvesters annually.
As a result of the meeting, the regions were tasked with increasing the rate of acquisition of beet-harvesting equipment for 2021 - 2025, in volumes that ensure a high technological level of production.
