During the period of the harvesting campaign, the most in demand are specialists associated with the completion of the cycle of production and growing of products, as well as transportation and sale of the harvested crop. This is evidenced by the data of the regular survey of agricultural vacancies conducted by the Russian Agricultural Bank on the basis of the recruitment service on the platform Svoe Farming. The service brings together more than 10,5 thousand vacancies in the agro-industrial sector and is the largest in Russia specialized database for personnel search for companies in the agro-industrial sector.
The most demanded profession during the harvest season was the vacancy of an agronomist. This specialty accounts for 30 out of 100 vacancies added in the last 10 days. The responsibilities of the agronomist include the development of technological maps, calendar schedules for the care of crops, control over the observance of the cultivation technology and harvesting, as well as transportation to the storage sites of the harvested crop. Most of the vacancies of an agronomist are open in Volgograd and the Stavropol Territory.
“The profession of an agronomist is one of the most demanded in the agro-industrial complex, but during the harvest season, the demand for these specialists increases markedly. This is confirmed by the data of our review: according to the statistics of the recruitment service on the RSHB platform Own Farming, in the midst of the harvesting campaign in 6 out of 10 cases companies are ready to hire specialists without work experience, and only 30% of employers require work experience of 3 years or more ” , - comments Elena Baturova, director of the Center for the Development of Financial Technologies of the Russian Agricultural Bank.
The second most popular job during the harvest season was the marketing analyst job, accounting for 25 out of 100 new job openings in the last 10 days. The responsibilities of a marketing analyst include analytics and forecasting of the company's sales, studying the company's sales markets and consumer demand in these markets, and analyzing the competitive environment. At the same time, in 7 out of 10 cases, companies are looking for a specialist with a work experience of 3 to 6 years, in other cases, marketers with up to a year experience are required. Most of these vacancies are posted in the Altai Territory and the Voronezh Region.
“During the period of the harvesting campaign, agricultural enterprises think not so much about preserving, but about selling goods both within the country and abroad. By the end of 2020, the export of agricultural products from Russia amounted to more than 30 billion rubles, the supplies of Russian agricultural products abroad exceeded the income from the export of the military-industrial complex. It is export that allows the domestic agro-industrial complex to increase profitability and acquire financial stability, so marketing will remain the most demanded and important for agricultural enterprises, ”explains Elena Baturova.
Rounding out the top three most popular vacancies are the professions of a driver and a specialist in transport logistics.
The driver is responsible for receiving goods from warehouses, loading and unloading operations and delivery of goods. The duties of a transport logistics specialist are preparation of analytical reports on delivery routes, preparation and optimization of delivery routes. In every third case, the employer is ready to accept a specialist with work experience of up to 1 year, and only in every 8th case - with more than 3 years of work experience and electric forklift control skills. In other cases, companies are looking for drivers with no work experience. Most of these vacancies are presented in the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Krasnodar Territory.
It is noteworthy that the traditional profession of a harvest picker (including a picker of mushrooms, berries and tea), traditional for this period, is not so popular - only 13 out of 100 vacancies added over the past 10 days are in this profession. Most of these vacancies are posted in the Krasnodar Territory.
“We launched a recruitment service on the Svoe Farming ecosystem a little less than a year ago - in September 2020, and during this time it has grown into the largest specialized resource in Russia that aggregates resumes and vacancies in the agro-industrial sector. The service is free and allows agro-industrial complex enterprises to reduce the costs of recruiting personnel, to find professional personnel, even with a narrow specialization in all regions of Russia. By searching for vacancies on our site, companies can increase their efficiency and find employees to implement the full production cycle - from agronomists to harvest pickers, sales specialists to transport logistics specialists, ”said Elena Baturova, director of the Financial Technologies Development Center.
